This ABC Four Corners report profiles three schools. The first is Toronto High School and the improvements that have been made in the school over the past three years. There is a strong emphasis on teacher quality in this report and the nurturing care of teachers. There is also acknowledgement of the principal’s role and the commentary of John Hattie about teacher impact. The second and third schools are a private college, Knox Grammar and a Victorian School, Hume Central. These schools and the comments about them amplify the thrust of this report about teacher quality, relational teaching and establishing rapport with students.
